The Arizona Diamondbacks will kick-off their final Spring Training exhibition season schedule in the Old Pueblo when they host the Colorado Rockies for a 1:05 p.m. contest at Tucson Electric Park in Tucson on March 4 as part of the team's 33-game Cactus League schedule announced today. The D-backs and Rockies will move to their new 140-acre multipurpose facility on Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community land in the Northeast Valley in 2011.
During yesterday's groundbreaking of a new Arizona Diamondbacks-Colorado Rockies spring-training complex in the greater Phoenix area, one thing was made abundantly clear: the end result should be stunning, even though it will be built in a seriously short period of time.
