Spring Training Online

We've posted a tentative 2013 spring-training schedule for the Miami Marlins, playing out of Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter.

The schedule is pretty much what you'd expect: lots of games against complex partner St. Louis Cardinals and other Treasure Coast league teams, as well as an exhibition game against the Venezuelan WBC team.

In their 11th spring at Roger Dean Stadium, the Marlins are currently slated to play 32 exhibition games, the first coming on Saturday, February 23, hosting the St. Louis Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. Overall the Marlins will play a total of 31 Grapefruit League games, with home games in Jupiter against the Cardinals (four times), Mets (three times), Nationals (twice), Twins (March 1), Yankees (March 8), Red Sox (March 11), Astros (March 12), Braves (March 13), and Tigers (March 25). Miami will also host the Venezuelan WBC team on March 5 in Jupiter.

Marlins pitchers and catchers will have physicals on February 11 and will hold their first on-field workout that afternoon. Position players have physicals on February 15, with the first full-squad workout taking place that afternoon.
