The D-backs open their 16th spring training on February 23 at Salt River Fields at Talking Stick against the Rockies for the third consecutive year. The D-backs have nine games against their National League West rivals with three games against the Rockies and a pair of games each versus the San Francisco Giants, San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers.
With the first round of the World Baseball Classic held in the Valley in 2013, the D-backs will play a Spring Training game against Team Mexico on March 5 at 7:10 p.m. at Salt River Fields. The special night game is the first of six evening games including matchups on March 13 vs. the Milwaukee Brewers at Salt River Fields, March 22 at Cleveland Indians at Goodyear Ballpark, March 26 vs. Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at Salt River Fields and March 27 against the San Francisco Giants at Salt River Fields. The last night game will mark the first of a two-game set against the Cincinnati Reds on March 29 & 30 at Chase Field to wrap up spring training.
